Dear Friends,

Thank you for taking the time to visit Hands On New York, Inc.

Our organization was founded in the summer of 2002 by a small group of individuals, two college students and one college Professor who had one idea in mind: to use their knowledge, skills and desire to do some good in the community. That's when  Hands On New York, Inc. is born.

Now, eight (8) years later, we are proud of the work we are doing to help low-income individuals and families improve their quality of life. We have helped over 1,000 Bronx residents and still counting.

Our organization is one that is considered "grassroots," meaning that we exist to serve the people in our community and provide direct service. We take pride in being known as an organization that takes the needs of the individuals we serve seriously. Every new person we help becomes part of a family. We treat them the way we would like to be treated ourselves: with respect and dignity all the time.

Hands On New York, Inc. exist to
HELP OUR COMMUNITY, OUR PEOPLE. We are based in the Bronx but we serve individuals from every borough in New York City, and from other states as well, including New Jersey and Connecticut. Most of our efforts are focused on helping those in REAL need such as the unemployed and the homeless. We are also focused on helping single parents and their children, who often find themselves with no one to turn to.

That's why we are here!

We invite you to take a few minutes to browse our site and we hope that before you leave, you consider making a small donation so that we may continue helping the community.

Thank you again for visiting
