"GIVING THANKS 2009"

"Giving Thanks" was started in 2007, thanks to the generous contribution of Bachata music group from the Bronx, AVENTURA and Cibao Meat Products. In the last two years, we have been able to provide free turkeys to over 500 low-income families, many who also reside in domestic violence shelters.

In order to qualify, the head of household must meet at least one the following:

0. be on public assistance, SSI, Disability or other government assistance
0. reside in a shelter
0. have more than two children residing in the home
0. receiving unemployment benefits
0. unemployed
